This is a true story of a girl named Hira, who sacrificed everything for Islam

Assalamu Alaikum warahmatullahi t3ala wabarakatuhu,

(If you want me to increase the font size, let me know)

Below is the transcript of a true story of a girl called Hira. Born a Hindu, she accepted Islam at a very young age, but was persecuted mercilessly by her family for this. The story is narrated by her uncle who recorded the story on a CD by himself, for the benefit of the Muslims. Read the story and ponder over how fortunate we are not to be tested by Allah like Hira.
Hira’s Story

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If I was to say that since the world has been created, the world has not seen a more sinister tyrant, a more vicious predatory animal, yet at the same time an extremely fortunate individual, then this will be an accurate description of myself.
I was born 42 to 43 years ago into a Hindu household. My family were known for their criminal behaviour. My father and uncle were amongst the leaders of a criminal group. Theft, violenceetc was in the family blood.
In 1987, during the Mayrath riots, I was with my father to assist our tribe in the riots. Together we killed 25 Muslims with our own hands.
After this I joined Bazrandil, an extremist group after becoming influenced by the hatred and enmity towards the Muslims. Infact, I killed many Muslims during the riots that broke out in 1990 at the time of the demolition of Babri Masjid. Furthermore, I killed many more Muslims in Udhyanwe in 1992.
A true famous Muslim used to reside in Urara. In my eyes however, he was a criminal as he was a Muslim. All Non-Muslims in the area were petrified of him. With the help of my friend I shot him dead as well.

Enmity towards the Muslims caused me to carry out such a tyrannous and violent act that I believe has not been seen, heard of and thought of under the sky and on top of the earth. In the 30th Para of the Quran, there is a Surat titled Surah Al Burooj. This Surah discusses the punishment of those people who had kindled a fire and killed innocent true Muslims. I feel that this Surah has been revealed due to people like me. The only difference is that the culprits referred to in the Surah, have been doomed to the fire of Hell and Allah has blessed me with Imaan.

My story is such that it gives hope to all those who are in despair. When Allah has shown such compassion to me, then I feel that no one has the right to despair.
My elder brother was also involved in violence against the Muslims. Despite this, we shared a strong mutual love and affection. My brother had two sons and two daughters. I did not have any children. The name of my brother’s eldest daughter was Hira. She was extremely beautiful. Whoever she liked, she loved fully and whoever she disliked, she disliked fully. At times we used to worry that she was affected by supernatural forces. We consulted exorcists, but it made no difference. She studied until the 8th class at school (in India). Thereafter, she left school and was made to learn the household chores. However, she had a real zeal for further studies. Therefore, she applied for a place at college without consulting the family and without their consent. To pay for her school fees and purchase the required books, she evenworked in the fields for 8 days. With the money she earned, she purchased the books.
However, she could not understand some of the text and thus started attending tuitions. The tutor’s son, who was a robber, took advantage of my niece. He misguided her and one night ran away with her.

He took her to a Jungle near Barod, where his compatriots were residing. As soon as Hira arrived there, she immediately realised the mistake she had made and the damage she had caused to her and her parent’s reputation. This remorse caused her to secretly weep.
One day one of the compatriots of the bot she had run away with noticed her crying and asked her the reason for this. She explained that although in her naivety she had runaway with her tutor’s son, she had realised the consequences of her immature actions. She explained that the pain she had caused to her family was now causing her tremendous distress.
After hearing this, this boy revealed that he was a Muslim and that Muslims are true to their word. He promised to help her and treat her like his sister. He assured her that he would take her away from the jungle and re-unite her with her family members. The boy now forged a plan. He advised the gang of robbers that they needed to take on some women in their gang to assist them in achieving their objectives. They agreed and took her on, but were vigilant of her as they could still not fully trust her. During this period the boy who
had promised to help Hira, would keep watch over her at night, to protect her from the evil intentions of the other male members of the gang.

One day, he sent Hira on an errand to Barod (near the Jungle). This was to be her escape. He explained to Hira that once she arrived in Barod, she must go to his brother’s house in Idreespur, explaining to him that she had been sent by his brother from the Jungle. His brother would then come to the Jungle and explain to the other gang members that she had been detained by the police on suspicion of crime. This would provide Hira with the opportunity to go to the police and explain that she had been abducted and that she had escaped from her abductor. The plan materialised and the police finally re-united Hira with her family.
Although we allowed her back in the family home, we could not whole heartedly accept her. We were angry at the fact that she had run away with a boy and feared that she would have lost her virginity. This remained the fear despite reassurances from Hira to the contrary. One learned relative advised us to take her for medical tests to confirm her story and dispel our fears. Me and my brother, (Hira’s father) agreed to this with the condition that if the medical report corroborated her version of events we would bring her back home. If not, then we would murder her and dispose of her body in the local river. The medical story backed up Hira’s version of events and we delightedly brought her back home.

However, her encounter with the Muslim boy in the Jungle had increased her inclination towards Muslims and Islam. She started going to a Muslim friend’s house who gave her two books titled, The threat of Hell and The Key to Jannah. When I saw these Islamic books in the house, I reprimanded her and warned her against such a thing in the future. However, Islam had entered inside her and enlightened the darkness of her heart. Hence, the warning fell on deaf ears.
She went to a Madrasa with a Muslim friend and accepted Islam at the hands of a local Moulana. Subsequently, she started learning how to perform Salaah and became punctual with her Salaah.
Slowly, she started finding it difficult living in a home devoid of Tawheed and filled with polytheism (Shirk). A girl who was always smiling, had now become lonely and sad. Realising she could no longer live in the family home, she ran away and sought refuge at a Moulana’s house in Fulat with his wife. The Moulana’s name was Mohammed Kaleem Siddiqui. For her own safety, Moulana sent her to his sister’s house in Delhi. She looked after Hira with huge love and a sense of responsibility. Hira stayed in Delhi for over a year and found it easy to practice Islam openly. She used to call Moulana’s sister ‘Raani Fufu’.
Hira had been extremely close to her mother and therefore longed to meet her again. Her mother was also frequently becoming ill. One night, Hira saw in her dream that her mother had passed away. This dream saddened her further and made her all the more determined to see her mother. In addition to this, the thought of her mother dying without Iman was unbearable.
Therefore, in the middle of the night she started crying profusely which caused the household to be awakened from their sleep. They managed to calm her down temporarily, but these thoughts could not let her rest. She started asking Moulana Mohammed Kaleem Siddiqui to grant her permission to go home and visit her mother. He advised her against this, explaining that her return would virtually guarantee her death or she would be forced to revert to Hinduism. Her Iman was too valuable to her, but so was her mother’s love. She relented and finally convinced Moulana to let her go.

Moulana advised her to invite her family towards Islam. Hira explained that her family despised Islam and would never accept Islam. However, Moulana clarified that if Allah has decreed guidance for them, they will start despising Hinduism like they currently despise Islam, just like you used to despise Islam and now despise Hinduism. If you go with this intention, the help of Allah will be with you through his protection and if any harm does come to you, it will be due to imitating the Sunnah of Mohammed (S.A.W). If your family even kill you, you will achieve the status of martyrdom which is the easiest path of achieving Jannah. I am certain that in such a case, your martyrdom will be a means of their guidance. She then performed two Raka’at Salaah, made Dua and left with the intention of inviting her family towards Islam. Her arrival enraged us. I persecuted her and ordered her to forsake Islam, but on the contrary she ordered me to accept Islam. She was adamant that nothing could persuade her to denounce Islam. When her mother passed away after two months, Hira pleaded with us to bury her in the Muslim cemetery as she had recited the Shahadah in front of Hira before her demise.
However, we cremated her according to the Hindu tradition.
After this, there would be a commotion in the house on a daily basis when she would either invite her brothers or father towards Islam. We sent her away to her mother’s family, but even they sent her back.
We consulted the elders of our community and religious leaders, who all gave the opinion that we should kill Hira. Acting on their advice I dug a five foot grave on the banks of the river.

The plan was to bury her alive...

Me and my brother, Hira’s father took Hira on the pretence of visiting a relative in a village. Hira was an intelligent girl and at once realised what was being planned. She therefore had a bath, put on new clothes and asked for permission to perform her final Salaah. Joyously, she left the house like a bride. Despite taking an unusual route to the relative’s house, she did not even once raise a query. When we reached the river bank, she turned to her father and commented that the relative’s house was not there.

Hira’s father and me, her tyrannous uncle took her with five litres of petrol to the hole I had dug up previously. I pushed her into the hole in the ground mocking at her, that how can you save us from the fire of hell? Here, save yourself from this fire. I poured the petrol all over her and lit her up with a match stick. Hira’s father, my brother, stood there speechless and crying. The fire started burning her new clothes. When Hira saw this, she stood up in the hole, raised her arms to the skies and cried out, ‘Oh Allah, You can see me, can’t you? Oh Allah, You can see me, can’t you? Oh Allah, You love Hira, don’t you? You love the Cave of Hira, please also love the Hira who is burning in this hole.
If I have your love, I do not need the love of anybody else.’ !!!

After this, she turned to us and pleaded with us,
Oh my beloved father, Accept Islam, Oh my beloved uncle, Accept Islam.
This angered me even more. I got hold of my brother’s arm and dragged him away from there...

My brother, Hira’s father, said to me that we should have tried explaining to her one last time. Nevertheless, we started returning having accomplished our religious duty as we understood it, hearing cries of the Shahadah from the hole where Hira had been left burning. The experience of the final moments of Hira’s life left me and my brother depressed. Infact, Hira’s loss was too much for her father and proved to be fatal. Two days before his demise, he called me and said that despite whatever he had done in his lifetime against the Muslims, he was sure of leaving the world on the religion of Hira. He accepted Islam at the hands of a local Moulana and he chose Abdur Rehmaan as his Islamic name. He requested me to bury him in a Muslim cemetery. This was extremely difficult for me, but I managed to take him away from the locality with the excuse of treating him to Delhi and fulfilled his wish there.

My brother’s Islam was impossible for me to accept. I thought a Muslim must have done black magic on our entire family for them to one by one accept Islam.
One day, I was travelling in a bus being driven by a Muslim. He was listening to the story of Mohammed’s (S.A.W) treatment of the old lady, who he had helped carry her shopping. This story changed my perception of Islam and I realised that such a person could only be the truthful messenger of Allah. So I decided to carry out further research into Islam.
One day whilst travelling for this reason, once again the driver of the bus was listening to a speech by Qari Haneef Sahib on ‘Death’. This shortened the distance between Islam and myself even more.

I met a Moulana and asked him to help me understand Islam. He advised me to go to Fulat and seek Moulana Mohammed Kaleem Siddiqui, saying that he was the best person to contact.
Upon reaching Fulat I was told that Moulana Siddiqui was away and was scheduled to return the following morning. I was given a book to read authored by him. This book changed my heart completely and although I had travelled to Fulat merely to learn about Islam, I was convincedenough to accept Islam.
The following day on 31st January 2000 after Maghrib, I accepted Islam at the hands of Moulana Siddiqui. I requested an additional hour with him. In this I described to him my past crimes and murders. I narrated the whole incident of Hira. Upon hearing Hira’s story, Moulana Siddiqui started crying profusely and revealed that Hira had in actual fact resided at his and then later at his sister’s house in Delhi. However, he assured me that despite my barbaric crimes against Muslims in the past, Islam would offer me a fresh start. He narrated to me the Hadith that highlights this. I could not understand how such murderous actions could just be forgiven. To dispel my worries, Moulana Siddiqui encouraged me to save the lives of some Muslims to compensate for the Muslims I had killed.

Therefore, I now look for opportunities to save and help Muslims wherever possible. Due to my Hindu contacts, if ever I would be made aware of an attack against the Muslims of a particulararea or village, I would inform them.
One such incident where Allah used me to help the Muslims, was in a Madrasa in Bhawnagar. The plan was to burn and kill 400 Muslim students. Ten minutes before the attack, I broke a wall at the back of the Madrasa, allowing the students an escape route and therefore saving the 400 students.
Then I went to Gujarat for three months. Moulana Siddiqui assured me that Allah would forgive me just as he had guided me towards the straight path. He then advised me to spend some time in Tabligh to learn about Islam. I encouraged some of my family members to accept Islam including Hira's sister. After this, I spent some time in Tabligh. Moulana advised me to keep reciting Surah Al Burooj. I have managed to memorise it and have also read the meaning. Whenever I recite the Surah, Hira’s last words come rushing back tome.
‘Oh Allah, You can see me, can’t you? Oh Allah, You can see me, can’t you? Oh Allah, You love Hira, don’t you? You love the Cave of Hira, please also love the Hira who is burning in this hole. If I have your love, I do not need the love of anybody else.’
I pray that Allah forgives me for my previous behaviour and makes me a means of helping my fellow Muslims, to compensate for my abhorrent behaviour in the past. Aameen.

This is the reality of this life....

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi T3ala Wabarakatuhu,

Today, while giving the dars our Ustadh told us about his friend who passed away In the Pakistan Ijtimaa. He told us that he met this friend just 2 days ago, and today he got a call from some shaykh telling him about their friend: During the ijtimaa, he started telling everyone that he is about to go (die), and to send his salam upon the shuyookh of the ijtima, his family, and certain people he named, and asked everyone to bury him right there in the path of ALLAH t3ala, instead of taking him back to his home. The people told him to stop joking again and again, but he kept on saying 'Im not joking, Im about to go, I make all of you my witness that I have recited the shahaadah "ash'hadu an-la ilaaha illallah wa ash'hadu anna muhammad-ar-rasoolullah", and right then and there he passed away. His grave was being dug when the shaikh called to tell my ustad right there in the ijtimaa. ALLAHU Akbar, what a beautiful death! Such an easy going peaceful death in the path of ALLAH t3ala, and here we are, so busy in this world, our hearts and souls are stuck in worldly desires and accessories, how difficult will it be for us to die, this Shaykh mashaALLAH t3ala had nothing to worry about, he had a book full of good a'amaal which he was ready to show ALLAH t3ala and everyone, he was happy with himself, and couldnt wait to meet his lord, and what about us? Are we ready?? If it was us instead, would we have been that happy?

It's Black Friday again! Hurry up before everything is sold out!

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi t3ala Wabarakatuhu,

Once again its that time of the year, the streets are full of tents of people waiting for dawn so that they can rush to the shops, or just long lines of people waiting from late night just so that they can be first. As as soon as Morning does befall, shops are overflowing with customers, miles of long lines await outside for hours, with loads of pushing and shoving. Security guards are exhausted due to all the fighting they are having to do with the customers, who desperately want to get in. Even deaths have occurred on this day due to the large amounts of people and their pushing and shoving! You see people coming out of the shops with carts full of shopping bags, grinning like never before, as if they accomplished the biggest goal of their life. Pockets are full of money just yearning to come out and be spent. Everyone has just one desire, to rush into that shop and pick up everything their eyes set upon, and why not? Everything is on sale! Great bargains, and discounts, who can reject?

(By NBC news: Violence erupted at Black Friday sales across the U.S. with one bargain-hunter left critically injured after being shot during a robbery and 15 other people injured when an angry shopper used pepper spray.

Several of the incidents took place at Wal-Mart stores as millions of Americans loaded up on holiday purchases.

Updated 10:55 a.m. ET: A Rome, N.Y., man was charged with disorderly conduct after a fight that broke out the moment Black Friday shopping began at midnight, NBC station WSTM of Syracuse, N.Y., reported.

Several shoppers at the electronics department at a Wal-Mart store were pushed to the ground, and several fights broke out, Oneida County sheriff's deputies said. Two shoppers were taken to a hospital for minor injuries)

Then when its that time of the year when the air is filled with rehmat (mercy), and ALLAH t3ala is just waiting to shower anyone with loads of  good deeds, Hes on the last sky asking if there's anyone to ask for forgiveness, who he shall forgive, or If anyone has any troubles which he can solve, or needs which he can fulfill? Tickets to Jannah are given out with hardly any cost! Angels are flying around looking for people to script their good deeds. But, theres just one problem, Where are the people???? NO, not on their prayer mats, and neither is their any pushing, no one excited, no one waiting desperately for the time to come, Nothing is lit up, no preparations are made. Everyone is on their beds snoring away like they were just let out from a cage after being forbidden from sleep for days.

(such a beautiful masjid, but sadly there is no one to pray....)

Yup, that's what its like, when it comes to the everlasting akhirah, nobody cares. Their sleep, peace, enjoyment, and desires are more important, but when it comes to this world which shall be destroyed one day, people are ready to sacrifice their food, sleep, peace, homes, comfortable beds, EVEN LIVES for a few discounts. For what? For things which shall only be used for a couple of days, then either broken, or forgotten, or replaced with better. When the Jannah is everlasting, nothing in this world can even be compared to one single thing of paradise, even fruits will be totally changed, more juicy, delicious, and big! Everything will last forever, the fun will never end, there will be enjoyment, and only enjoyment, so how come no one is ready to sacrifice for this everlasting enjoyment??

Because, death has been forgotten, there will be a day when everything you have, will be left on this earth, even your clothes, watch, earrings will be taken off from you, and you will go into that 6 feet grave of nothing but soil and mud absolutely empty handed, except there is one thing that shall accompany you, YOUR DEEDS! Now thats up to you, if you want them to be good deeds,
or bad ones.....................................................think about it before it's too late!

Wait! I just found another really good deal! Look, right here in the Quran Karim:

(Translation: O ye who believe! shall I point out to you a bargain that will save you from a painful punishment?
That you believe in Allah and His Messenger, and strive in the cause of Allah with your wealth and your persons. That is better for you, if you did but know.
He will forgive you your sins, and make you enter the Gardens through which streams flow, and pure and pleasant dwellings in Gardens of Eternity. That is the supreme triumph. And He will bestow another favour which you love: help from Allah and a near victory. So give glad tidings to the believers.)

Lets see how many rush to obtain this deal!

Make 70 excuses for your brother before accusing them of something!! Lets Practice!

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi t3ala Wabarakatuhu,

(Update: It seems like Im stuck with all 70 excuses, as everyone is preferring just reading over participating, so if no one replies by Saturday, then inshaALLAH t3ala I'll try to make more excuses {dont know if I can come up with all 70, but if no one else helps, I'll try inshaALLAH t3ala}, This update is for those who asked when all 70 are going to be listed)

Now these type of scenarios can happen to any of us on any normal day, but when they happen to others, the first thing that comes to our mind is something bad about them, so how about next time when you hear or see something disliked, you make excuses in your head for that person.

I hope that our fellow sisters would give us the benefit of the doubt and practice the 70 excuse train of thought.

To enhance creativity, to allow one to widen their imagination and to give brothers and sisters a chance to learn how people see things and think about things... these excuses may give our brothers n sisters another way of looking at things instead of always right to the negative.

Okay so here is the first scenario:

You see a muslim brother you know very well go into a bar.

Now think of all the excuses you can come up with at such a situation: The goal is to to reach atleast 70.

Please comment with all the situations you can think of.

I don't want to make it difficult for you all by taking the easiest excuses, so I'm only going to make 3 right now, then inshaALLAH t3ala more in the future.

1)The brother didn't know it was a bar, because there wasn't a real big sign and it looked like any other shop.
2) The brother had to use the restroom, and his home was far from there.
3) He was fasting that day, and the time for maghrib had come in a long time ago, but this was the only shop near by, so he went to just get a drink of water.

Now its your turn!
I hope you all do participate!

Isn't it really easy to find faults in someone else, but so difficult to look at our own faults?

Assalamu Alaykum Warahmatullahi t3ala Wabarakatuhu,

Ibn Abbas (ra) said:

“When you feel the need to mention your companion’s faults, remember your own” [Al-Adab Al Mufrad]

Imam Sufyaan ath-Thawri said:

“Keep yourself busy in remembering your faults, so that you have no time left to remember the faults of others.”

Imam Ahmad was told:
"Over looking people's faults is 9/10ths of good character"
He responded:
"Rather, it is 10/10ths"

Shaikh Al-Islam Ibn Taimiyah said:

“Some people have the disease of criticizing all the time. They forget the good about others and only mention their faults. They are like flies that avoid the good and pure places and land on the bad and wounds. This is because of the evil within the self and the spoiled nature.”

I found these quotes yesterday online and was thinking how we never really think about ourselves when talking bad about others. I've seen people complain about so and so doing stuff, and they themselves have the same habit. I hope not, but maybe I do it myself, astaghfirullah t3ala. Every human being makes mistakes, everyone sins, nobody is perfect. Maybe X talks to a guy on the phone, but maybe you go to bars? Both are sins, so why criticize her, when you yourself are also sinning, First let go of your sins, pure yourself, then think about others, and what do you know, maybe the person had a very good reason which you do not know of?

I made this post to build an awareness about this habit, because many times we without knowing start to find faults in others, and forget about ourselves.

The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said: "That person who taunts and ridicules his Muslim brother over a sin from which he has repented, will not die until he himself commits that same sin."

Hamdun al-Qassar, one of the great early Muslims once said:
"If a friend among your friends errs, make seventy excuses for them. If your hearts are unable to do this, then know that the shortcoming is in your own selves [ibid]"

And the words of Imam Jafar as-Sadiq , “If you find see something you don’t like in a brother, try to find 1-70 excuses for him. And if you can’t find an excuse, say ‘There might be an excuse, but I don’t know it.’

Do you think you can think of 70 good excuses for a scenario without accusing your brother/sister in Islam? If not, then dont judge them.

In the next post we'll actually think of a scenario and make our 70 excuses. inshaALLAH t3ala

There still are muslims out there who know the meaning of khushoo3!

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi t3ala Wabarakatuhu,

SubhanAllah!! Such a wonderful, and precious picture which was captured at the Masjid ul Haram!!

Even though the quality is not that good, there is a precious lesson in it!! Allaahu Akbar !!!

It shows a man standing and praying with Khushu' (concentration) and there is a bird on his head!! When people saw this view they said: "SubhanAllah! This man reminds us of Bin Zubair (radiyAllaahu 'anhu)!"

Do you know who's Abdullah bin Zubair (radiyAllaahu 'anhu)?

He was one of the sahabah (radiyAllaahu 'anhu) who was known in his time for his extreme Khushu' (concentration) in Salah.

When he used to pray, it was as if he was a branch of a tree due to his khushoo', and birds used to stop & sit on him thinking he was a tree!!

SubhanAllah!! That's how Muslims should perform salah!

Your niqab can do wonders!

Assalamu Alaikum warahmatullahi t3ala wabarakatuhu,

I went to this place today, and remembered something that happened at the same place about 3 years ago. My sister, two friends and I were going somewhere, and my sister had to stop at this place to get something quick. Well one of my friends and I stayed in the car while my sister and the other friend went into the shop. It was dark at the time, and all four of us do shar'iee niqab, so we were in all black. Well I was talking to my friend that was sitting in the back when suddenly someone knocked on my window real hard and scared the living daylights out of me. When I turned to see who it was, i found an older lady who had normal clothing on without any hijab or abayah, she started to apologize for scaring me, and told me that shes from the car thats standing right next to ours, where I could see another woman just like her. Then she asked if anyone had come by my car..I lowered my window just a bit and asked her what she was talking about. She told me that the lady in her girl, and her were just robbed by a man in black, he took their purses, gold bangles, earrings, everything, and then he ran past our car to our side of the road, and went into some alley, so she thought since our car came in the way maybe he robbed us too, but then maybe he didnt see us since it was dark and we all were in black, so we weren't all that visible.
For a few minutes We were pretty shocked, then we started thanking ALLAH t3ala for saving us. Thanks to our niqab we were saved. Verily when you do something for ALLAH t3ala, he gives a lot back in return, and he protects you.

Girls these days dont like hijab or niqab, they think it covers their beauty (which is the purpose btw), they think it takes away their freedom of dressing up, looking beautiful, they want to show off their hair, clothing, but then they dont realize their how much fitnah is caused by their "freedom", You hear of more kidnapping, rape, etc cases these days then you ever did before. The world has gone out of control, the clothing is getting smaller, tighter, everything is visible, its so sad, astaghfirullah t3ala. Where has modesty, hayaa gone??? Every single one of ALLAH t3alas orders has some wisdom and huge benefits behind them, but only people whose eyes have not been blinded by shaytaan can see them. We should think about this stuff...may ALLAH t3ala guide us all to the straight path.
aameen thumma aameen!

Dont forget to recite Surah Kahf today!

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi t3ala Wabarakatuhu,

Here are some virtues of reading Surah Kahf:

1. Hazrat Al Baraa said that when a man was reciting Surah Kahf with a horse tied with two ropes at one side. Suddenly a cloud overshadowed him, and as it began to come nearer and nearer, his horse began to take fright. He went and mentioned it to the Holy Prophet sallallahu alaihe wasallam in the morning and he said, "That was tranquillity which came down by reason of the Qur’aan."

2. Hazrat Abu Darda radiyallahu anhu reported Allah’s Messenger sallallahu alaihe wasallam saying, "If anyone memorises ten verses from the beginning of Surah Kahf, he will be protected from the Dajjal (Anti-Christ)." Muslim

3. Hazrat Abu Darda radiyallahu anhu reported Allah’s Messenger sallallahu alaihe wasallam saying, "Anyone who reads the first three verses of Surah Kahf, he will be protected from the trial of the Dajjal (Anti-Christ)." Tirmizi

The evidence for it being recommended includes the hadith related by Hakim and Bayhaqi,
from Abu Sa`id (Allah be pleased with him), "Whoever recites Surat al-Kahf on Friday, light shall shine forth for him between the two Fridays."
[Ibn Hajar, Talkhis al-Habir]

It is recommended to recite Surat al-Kahf completely the night before Friday, and it is also recommended to do so Friday itself, before Maghrib time.
Ibn Abidin said, "And it is best to do so early on Friday, in order to rush to the good and to avoid forgetting."
[Ibn Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar, "Bab al-Jumu`ah"]

From another source:

1. There are many virtues regarding the recitation of Surah al Kahf on Fridays’.

عن أبي سعيد الخدري أن النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم قال : من قرأ سورة الكهف في يوم الجمعة أضاء له من النور ما بين الجمعتين

(سنن البيهقي الكبرى)

“Whoever reads Surah al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next.”

(Sunan Al Kubra lil Bayhaqi- Vol: 3- Pg: 353 – Dar ul kutub al Ilmiyyah)

عن أبي سعيد الخدري قال من قرأ سورة الكهف ليلة الجمعة أضاء له من النور فيما بينه وبين البيت العتيق

(سنن الدارمي)

Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri, who said: “Whoever readsSoorat al-Kahf on the night of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will stretch between him and the Ancient House (the Ka’bah).”

(Sunan Al Daarami, Hadith: 3407, Darul Kitaabil Arabi)

It is preferable to recite Surah al Kahf after Maghrib on Thursday.

قوله "قراءة الكهف" اي يومها و ليلتها, و الافضل في اوّلهما مبادرة للخير و حذراً من الاهمال

(Raddul Muhtaar, Vol: 1, pg: 164, H.M Saeed Company)

Recite surah dukhan on the eve of Friday, or everyday for even more sawab!

1. Hazrat Abu Hurairah radiyallahu anhu reported Allah’s Messenger sallallahu alaihi wa sallam as saying, "If anyone recites Ha-mim Al-Dukhan any night, seventy thousand angels will ask forgiveness for him in the evening."
(Tirmizi)

2. Hazrat Abu Rafi radiyallahu anhu said, "Whoever will recite Surah Dukhan on the eve of Friday, by morning he is forgiven and he will be wed to a huri (damsel of paradise) with wide lovely eyes."
(Darimi)

3. The same Hadith is reported by Hazrat Abu Hurairah radiyallahu anhu that Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihe wasallam said, "Whoever shall recite Surah Dukhan on the eve of Friday, he is forgiven in the morning."

4. Hazrat Abu Umamah radiyallahu anhu has said: I have heard the Holy Prophet sallallahu alaihe wasallam saying, "Whoever prays Surah Dukhan on the eve of Friday or on Friday Allah Ta’ala makes for him a home in paradise."

Sayyidina Abu Huraira (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said,
“If anyone recites surah Haa Meem ad-Dukhan in the night he will see the morning while seventy thousand angels seek forgiveness for him.”
[Tirmidhi 2897]

Come on all you got to do is spend seven minutes and you'll have a house in jannah, hoor-ul-ain, 70,000 angels seeking forgiveness for you, and you will be forgiven by morning, inshaALLAH t3ala! JUST 7 MINUTES!

(to be exact 6:31 minutes lol)

A few more incidents from "Do you think your duas are not accepted"

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi t3ala wa barakatuhu,

Like I promised, I will post up any more incidents I remember, so here goes:

In one of my classes we had to write this huge essay about a specific topic in arabic, for homework, but I for some reason (dont remember) was not able to write the essay, and the teacher who had assigned it let me tell you was very very strict, and she would become very angry if someone didnt complete their work, no excuses were accepted, you would be humiliated in front of the class, and get a long lecture or scolding, so I was sooooooo nervous, I dont even have the words to express how scared I was then, but I remembered my friend telling me that whoever read "hasbiyallahu wa n3imal wakeel in time of difficulty, ALLAH t3ala would bring ease upon the person, and the difficulty would go away, so I sat there in class, and was continuously reading this in my heart in silence, and the teacher pointed at student by student according to the seats, and asked them to read their essay, and finally she pointed at the student sitting next to me, and it was supposed to be my turn right after her, and there were like 30 minutes left, so I had no way out, I put my who heart into the dua, and ask ALLAH t3ala for help desperately, and you wont believe that right after my friend got done reading the teacher suddenly started to lecture us about something and she went on for a whole 30 minutes, so my turn never came!

This same thing happened another time, It was another essay which I wouldnt write, so I again started to read this dua from my heart and make lots and lots of dua, and when my teacher pointed at the student right next to me, I felt like I was going to cry, well the student finished, and as it was my turn, surprisingly the teacher commented on her essay for like 5 minutes then suddenly she skipped me and asked the person next to me, I was sooooo surprised and speechless that how fast ALLAH t3ala has accepted my dua, the teacher never ever skipped anyone, I guess ALLAH t3ala made her forget or something, but I was saved alhamdulillah t3ala!

Another time it was another class, and that teacher was also very strict, I was really scared of her lol, actually the whole school was, so you can imagine how strict she must be, and how her anger must be, well, I was not able to memorize the lesson for that day and so again I read this dua and kept asking ALLAH t3ala to save me, and guess what happen, out of no where in the middle of the class, before my turn the principal announced a meeting for the teachers right away, and again whew I was saved.

Last year, it was exams time, and for one of the exams I (guilty and embarassed) had wasted time, and was not able to prepare so well, so when night time befallen upon me, my fear had gotten so bad, I literally cried to ALLAH t3ala to do something, because I could no way fail this exam, and my preparation was extremely bad, and there was very little time, but a lot of syllabus left to study so I sat there and made lots and lots of duas. Well, as the light of dawn became visible, I kept asking ALLAH t3ala to help me, and save me any way possible. Well, after a bit I got a message that madrassah is closed today, it was a miracle! My madrassah is very strict, they dont give holidays at all, only after extreme measures, so I was so surprised that out of no where, the exam was cancelled and we had a holiday.

last week, we had a very big test for tafseer, and the whole class was very unprepared, so everyone was making dua that please oh ALLAH T3ALA do something, so that our teacher doesnt take the test today (with 3afiyah and khairiyat), and at home we made dua, after coming to madrassah we all made dua, and guess what When the time came for the teachers class, we found out that the teacher didnt come today! the next day the teacher told us that she was not able to come, because she became busy, and she even tried to make it late, but I dont know why, I wasnt able to. This really was a miracle, and without doubt our dua was accepted.

(you all must be thinking we are some naughty students lol, but there are times when you cant get something done for a reason, and we always asked for khair)

I didnt make up these stories, these are just a over all few from my years of madrassah (mashaALLAH t3ala), and every one of these stories had raised my iman to mountain top. Verily ALLAH t3ala does listen to you, and in time of difficulty he is there, and does help you. You just have to ask him sincerely from the deep of your heart with "yaqeen" that he will accept your duas, then you will see the power of ALLAH t3ala the almighty.

(If ALLAH t3ala can listen to the Mujadilaahs dua, he can listen to ours too!)

My khala told me this story recently about her own friend. They went in a jamaat in the path of ALLAH t3ala to Singapore. No one in the group knew their language, so it was very very difficult, every time they needed something they had to make hand gestures, so the whole group was so upset that we dont even know their language, how will we preach these people? They asked the leaders to let them go somewhere else, but the main leader told them to make dua, and ask ALLAH t3ala for help, he has brought them here, he shall give them the tawfeeq to make dawah, so that night all the people in the group stayed awake all night and prayed and made dua and cried a lot! They begged him to help them out. Well, when it was morning time, and they woke up, everyone in the group knew fluent Singaporean language malay. Subhanallah t3ala! After that thousand and thousands came to visit them to hear their language, as everyone was shocked, and they had seen this miracle with their own eyes, and surprisingly these people were able to speak it better than the original Singaporeans. My khalas own friend is one of them.

Please keep me in your prayers!

Do you feel like ALLAH t3ala doesn't answer your duas? He doesn't respond to you? He cant talk to you?

Assalamu Alaykum wa rahmatullahi t3ala wabarakatuhu,

Many times, When I have some difficulty, and Im praying, but nothing happens, I sometimes get upset, then I start to get all these satanic thoughts that ALLAH t3ala doesnt listen, but I shove them off, and thats what you have to do, all these thoughts are from shaytaan, he tries to lead you away from ALLAH t3ala, you have to ignore him, and remember hes your enemy, and these are his tricks. Let me tell you how prayers are accepted. This is extracted from a hadeeth, dont think that duas aren't accepted, because there are 3 ways for a dua to be accepted: 1) the dua is accepted right there and then, 2) ALLAH t3ala prevents some calamity or evil from befalling us because of this dua. 3) ALLAH t3ala gives keeps this dua for later, he gives us something better, or rewards us in the hereafter.

In another hadeeth, it is mentioned that some people on the day of judgement will be given many gifts wrapped in a beautiful manner, and the person will be surprised, "where did these come from? I did not do anything." He will be answered, that these are those duas of yours that were not accepted in dunya.

Anyways, let me tell you from my own experience that your prayers are heard by ALLAH t3ala, and he does accept them! Next time when your really upset, take a prayer mat, and sit on it, and just talk, talk about everything thats bothering you, even if you think no ones answering, or your alone, just talk, and watch you'll slowly pour your whole heart out, and in the end you will feel so good, your heart will be at peace even though nothing has been solved yet, and you know why? That is because ALLAH t3ala is listening to you, he took all the stress off of your heart, and soon everything will be better.
Now for example, Once I was coming home from school, and while in the car I saw a guy selling fresh fruit juices, so I felt like drinking it so bad, and I was thinking all this in my own mind, and guess what? When I reached home, my mother met me at the door and shes like Ive bought some fresh fruit juice for you, its in the refrigerator. Now who do you think that was? No one knows what goes on in my head, only ALLAH t3ala does, so I didnt even have to ask him, he just answered my desire all by himself!

Another time when I was a lot younger i used to ask ALLAH t3ala for everything I wanted, so once I really wanted a pink brush set, so i made dua, and after a few days, it was eid, so I was just playing and suddenly this aunty was giving out stuff to kids, so guess what she gave me? A pink colored brush set! (Thats what she was giving everyone, now who put that in her heart? ALLAH t3ala did!

Very recently I was rebooting my laptop, and suddenly it stopped working, the thing got stuck, and I waited there for literally 3 hours, continuously came back to see if it started working again, but I had no luck, and my laptop is pretty expensive, and if my mother found out, it was not going to be good, so I became so stressed, and my mom was upset that I was rebooting it, and she had already warned me, that if something goes wrong, I'll be in big trouble, lol, so I was so stressed, and scared, and I really didnt know what to do, I tried restarting the laptop and that just made it worse, then I left it alone, and it was big time stuck, so there was nothing I could do, so I turned to ALLAH t3ala, I literally cried so much and asked him to fix it for me, and kept on making dua, then I dont know why, I got such a different feeling, after making dua, the laptop was the same, and I still had the problem, but i fell at so much peace, it was like some angel took all the stress out of me, so I went to go to sleep, and relax a bit, since all the stress was killing me. Well, After I went to bed, I drifted off into chains of thoughts, then suddenly my mind just clicked back to present, and My heart kept telling me to check the laptop. Well, I got up, and came to check my laptop, and guess what? it was workinggg! All by itself, it seriously was a miracle, after 5 hours of being stuck, it just started smoothly, and it loaded, and the laptop was rebooted, I know this was the power of ALLAH t3ala, because I had tried everything, and everyone said your going to have to have it physically checked, and where I live that is really difficult, but alhamdulillah t3ala, he listened to my dua, and fixed it for me! was seriously a miracle!

Another time, there was something I really wanted, and I asked ALLAH t3ala for it, and so surprisingly my sister gave it to me after a day. I hadn't even told her I wanted it.

These are just a few incidents, there have been many major incidents too (inshaALLAH t3ala later, when I remember more, I'll post them), but believe me, ALLAH t3ala is definitely all hearing, all seeing, he says in the quran karim: 2:186
وإذا سألك عبادي عني فإني قريب أجيب دعوة الداع إذا دعان فليستجيبوا لي وليؤمنوا بي لعلهم يرشدون
And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me – indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.
We have to believe in this from our hearts, and you will see wonders. ALLAH t3ala is the only one in the this world who is there for you 24/7, it is said that if you call your friend and put her on hold, she will wait a few minutes for you, maybe 10, if you call a company for help and put them on hold, the most they will wait is 5 minutes, If you put your mother on hold, the most she may wait is like 20-15 minutes, but if you put ALLAH t3ala on hold, he will wait forever, If you forget him and sin even 50 years of your life, and turn back to him and ask for forgiveness he will reply right away, and forgive you. Dont doubt when it comes to ALLAH t3ala, he loves you, and he will always be there for you, he listens to you, and will answer you too. You cannot hear him, sometimes he may put thoughts in your heart, sometimes he may do something for you. The power of dua is amazing, it is a muslims weapon.

Remember humans respond with words, because they are weak, and have no power. You know how you share your problems with a friend? What do they do in return? they console you, cheer you up, make you feel better, but thats only for the moment, they do not solve your problems, ALLAH t3ala doesnt respond with words, he responds with actions. He doesn't need to console you, he cures you, solves your problem, gives your heart peace.

May ALLAH t3ala guide us all, and fill our hearts with his love, aameen thumma aameen

Read these quotes and ponder about them:

"...it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know."
[Al-Baqarah 2:216]

When the world pushes you to your knees, you are in the perfect position to pray.

If Allah brings you to it, He will bring you though it

In God, there is no sorrow or suffering or affliction. If you want to be free of all affliction and suffering, hold fast to God, and turn wholly to Him, and to no one else. Indeed, all your suffering comes from this: that you do not turn toward God and no one else. –Imam Al Ghazali

To completely trust in God is to be like a child who knows deeply that even if he does not call for the mother, the mother is totally aware of his condition and is looking after him. –Imam Al Ghazali

“Knock, And He'll open the door
Vanish, And He'll make you shine like the sun
Fall, And He'll raise you to the heavens
Become nothing, And He'll turn you into everything.”
