The army of forces within oneself

Verily Allah سبحانه و تعالى has created the human being and showed him the two ways (good and evil), which means that he showed him what is wrong for him, and what is right for him. Allah سبحانه و تعالى said: "He inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness".  In this ayah, Allah سبحانه و تعالى stated wickedness before righteousness, which indicates that the desire to do wrong is instilled in man where as piety is adapted from the surroundings. Who ever contemplates this shall understand that the human being has been created from mud, and one of the attributes of mud is that weed plants grow in it without being planted. Similarly, cotton, rice and wheat are planted unlike shrubs and herbs which grow without the initiative of a farmer, and then he tries to uproot them and terminate their source by spraying them with different types of herbicides. On the other hand, cotton requires lots of continuous hard work up to six months, while weed appears on the earths surface all by itself like an intruder. If the farmer is ignorant towards them, they eventually cause the death of other plants. Like wise, jealousy has always been there in a human being, where as altruism needs to be self-induced, just as greed and stinginess develop by themselves, and it is necessary to implant sacrifice and generosity. In the same way conceit is self created without the help of anything, but humbleness is achieved with constant effort. In a similar manner, darkness is the true origin of the earth while light is created as per stated in the following ayah: "and a sign for them is the night. We withdraw therefrom the day, and behold, they are in darkness." The emphasis lies in the word "نسلخ" (withdrawing) to explain the phenomena of sunset. The word "سلخ" reveals the real origin of any given thing, so when Allah سبحانه و تعالى withdraws day from light, they fall into the original state which is darkness. Therefore as explained before the darkness of sins already exists in man where as the light of good deeds has to be inculcated. Hence, leading men astray does not require much work from Satan as the weed of sins is already embedded. However, the fruit of all things pure like belief, piety, prayer, and truth, and the fields of modesty, responsibility, ties of kinship, and bravery, and the farms of tears from the fear of Allah سبحانه و تعالى and the constant worry for the life in the hereafter require attention, time, effort, and lots of hard work. In order to possess all the previous characteristics patience and lots of struggling is needed, nothing is cultivated overnight, unlike the seeds of sins which are already there within ones soul. The evil does not vanish in the first try, but needs to be under control at all times. When the wind of evil takes its course, it becomes apparent on a human being. The velocity of wind determines whether the effect of the evil in the wind is large or small. The struggle between good and evil in a man is continuous until his last breath, so beware, and dont be oblivious of the evil around you, no matter how strong you are, it will affect you one way or another. If a person finds perfection in himself, by thinking he is flawlessly pious, his biggest problem would be getting lost in the flaws of others and falling under the misconception that he is at a very high status, and this is one of the various punishments of Allah سبحانه و تعالى. When one gets involved in the faults of others, Allah سبحانه و تعالى will make him ignorant of his own. As a result, the seeds of wickedness will start to spread in his heart which will transit him from the beautiful gardens to the wild jungle; full of snakes, spiders, foxes, etc. All types of savage animals, and ugly insects shall surround him, from which there is no escape. Someone whose heart has gone through such a transit will not be able to reverse the effect without the necessary tools for protection and restraining from ones desires to the full extent.
